Politics today is culture.

Impact concerts, benefit albums, campaign activations - built with the people already doing the work.
We started because the gap between a cause and a crowd is a production problem, not a messaging problem. A campaign can have the right argument and still lose the room. Our job is the room - booking it, building it, filling it, and making sure the energy in it has somewhere to go when the lights come up.
Every show, drop and production is built with the people already doing the work. We don’t arrive with a format and look for somewhere to put it. The organizers, the artists and the campaign are in the room from the first conversation, which is why the work tends to outlast the cycle it was made for.
Three families, one team behind them: Presents for concerts and events, Records for releases, and Creative for films, ads and activations. Most projects touch more than one, and they run on one set of numbers rather than three.
Who we are
SoundsGood is three organizers turned partners who have spent their careers where music meets movements. Between them: a founding role at Sofar Sounds and growth leadership at Sweatpals and Posh; more than two decades running the independent label Don Giovanni Records, and a teaching post in the music industry; and senior leadership across talent partnerships and production on two Bernie Sanders presidential campaigns, a global benefit concert series, and the biggest stages in American sport. Different roads, same conviction: people acting together is still the most persuasive medium there is.
Tom was a founding team member at Sofar Sounds and has led growth and revenue at Sweatpals and Posh. He has spent his career scaling the platforms people gather on.
Caleb is a former talent agent who ran music partnerships and national advance on the 2016 and 2020 Bernie Sanders presidential campaigns, and produces concerts and events at the intersection of entertainment and social impact - with a parallel track as a film and TV writer-producer.
Joe Steinhardt co-founded Don Giovanni Records in 2003 and has run it for more than two decades, releasing career-defining records with Mitski, Waxahatchee, Screaming Females, Moor Mother, and many more, and giving a home to artists from Swamp Dogg to Lavender Country. He founded and curated the New Alternative Music Festival, earned a Ph.D. from Cornell, and is an Associate Professor in Drexel University’s Music Industry Program.
Ten years of booking artists for causes, producing the shows around them, and turning that energy into action. That's SoundsGood.

Questions we get asked
How does the support model work?
It depends on whose project it is. On our own projects, what a project makes after costs is what funds the cause behind it. We support beneficiaries at the company level rather than tying contributions to individual sales. On projects we produce for a client - which is most of our records - the client holds the relationship with the beneficiary, and we are paid a fee for the work.
How much goes to them?
On our own projects, everything a release earns past its costs. We don’t publish a per-item figure because we support beneficiaries as a company, not through a percentage attached to each sale. On a client’s project, the number isn’t ours to publish.
Who do you work with?
Campaigns, non-profits and advocacy organizations, artists and their management, and brands and sponsors who want to show up somewhere real. See the work.
How do we start?
Tell us the goal, the moment and the audience. If the budget isn’t set yet we’ll tell you straight what the right level of investment looks like before you commit to anything.
