Way to Win and Movement Voter Project wanted immigration enforcement in front of the largest television audience of the year, without buying a spot in it.
The task
Get a message into the stadium bowl on Super Bowl Sunday.
What we did
Produced and distributed over 15,000 ICE OUT rally towels to ticket holders outside Levi's Stadium, then ran the same play with another 5,000 at the championship parade in Seattle.
The results
Towels visible through the broadcast, and coverage across the LA Times, the New York Times, USA Today, Reuters, Newsweek, the Independent, and the San Francisco Chronicle.
